Plasma Cutting Machines

Plasma cutting machines (plasma cutters or CUT machines) are high-tech fabrication tools engineered for the rapid, clean, and safe cutting of any electrically conductive metal, including carbon and stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and cast iron. The cutting mechanism is a high-velocity jet of ionized air (plasma) heated to temperatures exceeding 20,000 °C. Unlike traditional oxy-fuel cutting or angle grinders, a plasma cutter leaves virtually no slag, eliminates thermal distortion (warping) in thin sheets, and allows the operator to execute highly intricate, curved cuts with surgical precision. To operate, these machines simply require a standard air compressor to supply pressurized air. The primary selection criterion is the maximum clean and severance cut thickness capacity.
