Screw & Stud Extractors

Screw and stud extractors are specialized rescue tools designed for the safe removal of damaged fasteners, including broken studs, sheared bolts, and screws with stripped heads. They operate using a reverse (left-hand) thread or a tapered flute design. The mechanic simply drills a pilot hole into the broken fastener, inserts the extractor, and turns it counterclockwise to grip and back out the fragment, perfectly preserving the original internal threads of the component housing. This is an absolutely essential toolset for automotive repair shops, machine shops, and heavy equipment maintenance, solving severe mechanical setbacks rapidly without resorting to welding or destructive drilling.
